It’s Not Just
about schmitt
Trading the hustle of NYC for the quiet beauty of Maine (and yes, my own pair of muck boots). These days it’s a mix of NYC pace and Maine-level calm. When to push, when to slow down, and how to stay somewhere in between. Turns out, the sweet spot lives between the smell of the subway on a hot summer day and a brisk, foggy morning on the Maine coast.
It’s in the Details
Every project starts with understanding the goals, the audience, and all the thoughts, sketches, and half-formed ideas that have accumulated along the way. It’s about asking the right questions, finding the pieces worth building around, and creating a clear foundation before the design work begins.
Make it Real
Gray boxes and caffeine. Sketch, mock, tweak, repeat. Ideas get pushed around, pulled apart, and put back together until they start earning their keep. This is where rough thinking becomes something clear, useful, and ready for the real world.
Wrap it Up Right
Once the direction is locked, the focus shifts to getting everything across the finish line. Files are organized, details are checked, and loose ends get dealt with before they become problems. No mystery folders. No missing assets. Just a polished final product that's ready to go.
Schmitt They’re Sayin’
“Jason is a multi-faceted, detail-oriented people person who, at the end of the day, can be counted on to think outside the box and deliver paradigm shifting synergy to every project. Actually, Jason is anything but a cliche. His work is fresh. He's prolific. And he routinely nailed it - usually on the first round. Nice guy, too. Oh, and I almost forgot. Jason will give you 110%.”

“Jason is a rock star… During the time Jason was with us, he provided top notch design work and contributed great ideas that helped improve the projects taking them to the next level. He’s one of those designers that "gets it", understands the commerce side of the equation and how to get the message to the audience. He's personable and well organized to boot.”
